Day 16 A day up in the mountains
This morning began bright and sunny, we could see from down in the village that it would be great to spend a day up in the mountains and planned to make full use of our lift passes!
Blackcomb gondola took us to 2,240m , where there was some low cloud which soon lifted
to reveal views down into Whistler
We then took the Peak To Peak Gondola, opened in 2008. Which at 2.73 miles long is the world's longest, highest continuous lift system. A quite a spectacular 11 minute ride from Blackcomb Mountain to Whistler Mountain at a height of 2,181m.
Once at the top we could see the Cloudraker Sky Bridge in the distance at some 2,200m high
Took some photos before walking that way
We enjoyed walking over The Cloudraker Sky Bridge, opened in 2018, though it was quite wobbly it gave us some amazing views.
You have really been up in the air on this trip! Good photos of you both and the wild life. Look forward to your visit to the island.

DeleteNot sure I could have done all those lift systems and definitely not the bridge, but wish I had the nerve!!! Looks fantastic.
